Only Miracles is a testament to my enduring love for theatre and my commitment to pushing the boundaries of the medium, particularly my lifelong fasinayionwith blurring the lines between audience and performer. The piece is the furthest I have pushed this relationship. I intentionally chose this provocative theatrical style, in academic circles known as "Stimming", to tell an already emotionally charged story. Embodying a story can override the prefrontal cortex and force the limbic system to engage. This provides the body an opportunity to stop thinking and start feeling. Stories of this magnitude need to be felt. These are real stories about real people, not statistics or names on a chart. I believe that the immersive techniques I have employed in Only Miracles generate a real emotional connection to these survivors of the Holocaust, and thus a connection to them all..."
